The RockPile Amphitheatre is located on State Road 99 and Clear Creek, just a few miles southeast of Winslow, Arizona. Our goal is to work with the Clear Creek Association for the Arts, Inc. (a not for profit organization) to create an inclusive center for the arts. Here not only will we be able to offer entertainment via the performing arts, but show the art of our region to the world. The artists will reach out to educate the next generation of artists. Eventually, we hope to be a benefit to the region, offering our services to create a tourism base that will drive the economy.

Concerning the involvement of ~The People~ of The Hopi Nation

These folks are in Hopi Low Income Housing, and their goal is to feed the musicians and crew, out of their own pockets.

This is a truly impressive gesture, but this is what the Hopi are like.

I truly feel blessed that I have so many friends among them.

Some of them will be vending food at the festival.

What I can tell you is that the Hopi will be active in this event.

Ivan Sidney, was a Tribal Chairman at one time, is also a musician, and he is bringing the Hopi Representatives for Tourism in to help out.

We have numerous Hopi helping in various facets.

They are a great people, and they are a giving people.

The Hopi are going to help get the work done to make this festival work.

This will be posted as ongoing work is in progress.

~The Stage Is Set ~



I was over at Hopi Housing today, talking to my friends, and studying some drums. I was informed that the dancers will perform the Butterfly Dance, Water Maiden Dance, Corn Dance, etc... In fact they will dance, not only, at the opening ceremonies, but every afternoon or evening of the festival. These are all youths who have learned to carry on the tradition.
